Career Readiness

GPS 45:93 would like to invite you to join them for the 4th Annual Innovative Approaches to Career Readiness event to be held on Friday, May 7, 2021, at 9am. This annual event is designed to connect high school programs, businesses, community organizations, and economic development partners to showcase the innovative work happening in the region to prepare students for their future career opportunities.

This year’s event will highlight two key programs: the Youth Skills Training Grant and the Youth Apprenticeship Program. Through a collaborative partnership with local businesses and/or community organizations, school districts have been able to provide innovative opportunities for students that enhance their career exploration options and provide valuable career and occupational knowledge prior to graduation. Representatives from Chisago Lakes, North Branch, and Princeton High Schools will share their experiences from project inception to where they are today, as well as provide some perspective on managing the partnership and project development to create successful career pathway opportunities for students.

The event is free to attend, but registration is required. For more info or to register: tinyurl.com/innovativeapproaches2021
