{"id":5951,"date":"2022-08-12T10:53:32","date_gmt":"2022-08-12T15:53:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/moramn.com\/mora-chamber\/?p=5951"},"modified":"2022-08-12T10:53:32","modified_gmt":"2022-08-12T15:53:32","slug":"short-term-relief-for-caregivers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/moramn.com\/mora-chamber\/short-term-relief-for-caregivers\/","title":{"rendered":"Short Term Relief for Caregivers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/moramn.com\/mora-chamber\/wp-content\/uploads\/image_6483441-20.jpg?ssl=1\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5952\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/moramn.com\/mora-chamber\/wp-content\/uploads\/image_6483441-20.jpg?resize=720%2C384&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" title=\"image_6483441-20-jpg\" width=\"720\" height=\"384\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5952\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Lakes &amp; Pines CAC Inc.<\/strong> is proud to offer a new respite care program for Caregivers at:<br \/>\n<strong>Braham Event Center<\/strong><br \/>\n655 8th St SW, Braham, MN<\/p>\n<p><strong>1:00pm &#8211; 4:00pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month <\/strong><br \/>\nbeginning August 11, 2022<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHO<\/strong>: Caregivers of a spouse, family member, neighbor, or a friend who require companion care but who are able to feed and toilet themselves and are not likely to be aggressive or violent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT<\/strong>: Respite care is an out-of-home respite program offering a change of environment for care receivers and temporary, short term relief for caregivers to do errands, have lunch or coffee with a friend, or to simply take time to relax and recharge while your care receiver enjoys time to socialize in a safe and caring environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHEN<\/strong>: On the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at The Braham Event Center located at 655 8th St SW, Braham, MN 55006<\/p>\n<p>Our typical day includes: Gentle exercise, brain-stimulating activities, crafts, conversation, and a snack.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteers: Our program is designed to have a one-to-one ratio of volunteers to care receivers.
