Important News from the Chamber…

In an effort to keep you all informed about what’s going on in our community, it’s also important that you are aware of who has recently joined the chamber so that you can utilize their services. We are posting these new members (and will continue to do so), as well as requesting that you take a look at the links: alpha list / categorical list of the members that have been loyally with us for a while. Chamber members all share things in common, one of them being the success of our business. Another, to see the community thrive. By utilizing the members that you see on the list, you are working with people who think like you do, who receives the messages that you do, who is part of this organization that together – strengthens the community.

How? Here are a few things we have in place:
Over $3000. in Chamber Cash has already been purchased this year (!) from the chamber that will circulate among you – and only you.
Promotions – come out (almost) daily reaching over 150 people regularly – and more if you will all share on Facebook as these little blurbs are in your email, on the Chamber’s Facebook Page and also under NEWS on the Chamber’s website. You send them to the chamber as an email, and they will get out as soon as possible in the 3:00 Blast.
The LED sign on 65 and 23 is constantly running and we’re hoping that you’re taking a look at it, as there are surprises on there throughout the years. It’s available for chamber member businesses only – and if you are interested in advertising on it please let me know.
The Banners on 65 (and also now on 23 E.) very soon will be replaced/updated. The Chamber Foundation will be selling the banners to Chamber members first, then non-members will be allowed to purchase them. Wind has been a real issue for their longevity so some changes will be made in how this will be handled moving forward – most likely the banners will be replaced more often (every 18 months vs. every 3 years). The cost of the banners will be lower to reflect this change. We are currently getting quotes from available banner businesses. Information on this project will be coming your way within the next month.
Literature Racks & Shelves are available to all of you at the chamber office. Please feel free to hand over some of your business cards and information pamphlets so that I can share to those who are new to or inquiring of the area.
Networking Meetings are beginning again. On a monthly basis, the 3rd Wednesday of each month will be set aside for a business to host a gathering either at their business, another venue or at the telework conference room in the chamber office building. These can be morning, noon, or evening gatherings. The Chamber will assist in paying for food where ever these meetings are held. Informative speakers are encouraged. So are tours and interest grabbing activities. These will give you a chance to meet other business members and make the necessary connections that can help grow your business. Please let me know if you are interested and we’ll get a calendar date set up!
Business Development Education Scholarship Program applications are due June 1st. Please see the Chamber’s website for more information.
