Child Care Summit Invitation

If you received the Initiative Foundation’s Business Finance & Economic Development newsletter on Friday, May 18, the link to the Child Care Summit did not work. We apologize for the inconvenience. Register here or at the below link. Thank you!
This summit is geared toward business and industry leaders, civic leaders and those with a stake in the child care challenge that is facing our region.
June 13 Child Care Summit
In partnership with First Children’s Finance, the Initiative Foundation invites you to attend a FREE summit and partner with us to address the region’s child care crisis.
Central Minnesota lacks more than 13,000 needed child care slots—a situation that affects family economics, keeps potential workers sidelined and places a burden on business and industry as they work to fill available job positions.
As part of its effort to address the problem, First Children’s Finance is expanding its services in Central Minnesota. The summit provides an opportunity for you to learn about First Children’s Finance and the innovative work they do to address child care needs throughout the state. The summit also will explore roles and resources for local units of government, employers, and economic development partners to improve child care access.
This summit is open to anyone in the 14-county region interested in potential solutions to alleviate the child care crisis in Central Minnesota.
Since 1991, First Children’s Finance has worked with communities and individual child care businesses to increase supply and support the sustainability of high-quality care and education.
Please forward this email to anyone who may find this summit of interest.
Time: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Date: Wednesday, June 13
Place: Initiative Foundation, Little Falls
There is no charge for this event, but registration is required. Lunch is included.
