Overview of Qualifications:

The Kanabec Area Chamber of Commerce is looking for a new Executive Coordinator.

This position is part time, 30 hours/week. No benefits at this time.

Application, Essay & Resume must be received by Chamber Office (16 North Lake Street, Mora) no later than Wednesday, July 11th. Position to be filled immediately.

Qualified candidates must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent and should have experience with:
            QuickBooks
            Microsoft Word, Excel
            Adobe Photoshop &/or InDesign
            WordPress – posting, updating pages
                                               and should have excellent people skills.

Positive connections with local business owners and Government officials a plus.

Multitasking and prioritizing are necessary components to this position.
So is being:
            self-motivated,
            flexible,
            self-guided,
            organized,
            confident,
            & able to speak to large groups.

Letter writing & communication skills will be looked at as strong positive traits and the applicant should be open-minded, fair, and imaginative. The ability to deal with a multitude of personalities with grace, knowing that their behavior reflects on the Chamber and it’s members at all times.

Grant writing skills would be a plus – especially on the Kanabec Area Foundation side. Telephone and email correspondence are necessary abilities. Honor and trustworthiness in this position go without saying.

Applicant must have experience with working within a limited budget.

Working flexible hours on evenings & weekends are necessary. Events held by the chamber are often in the evenings or on weekends. Participation in local government and regional organizations tend to held in the evenings or early mornings.

The chamber office is located in a City owned building. The telework center is run by Kanabec County. The telework center is staffed by and managed by the Chamber in exchange for rent and is open to the public from 10am – 2pm Monday – Thursday. The Chamber must staff this facility during these times per our management agreements with the County and City. Applicants will need to greet and introduce the telework center to all applicants. Heidi Steinmetz is the County correspondent to the telework center.

All applicants must have valid driver’s license, up to date insurance and reliable vehicle.
